start 發(fā)生；生（火）
start 的基本意思是“從靜止?fàn)顟B(tài)轉(zhuǎn)移到運(yùn)動(dòng)狀態(tài)”，可指工作、活動(dòng)等的開(kāi)始；戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)、火災(zāi)等的發(fā)生；也可指人開(kāi)始工作，著手某項(xiàng)活動(dòng)等；還可指人、事物使某事情發(fā)生或引起某事情。
eg.It started to rain.
下起雨來(lái)了。
eg.I used to start work at 9 o'clock every day.
我過(guò)去常在每天9:00開(kāi)始工作。
eg.We are just about to start.
我們正要出發(fā)。
eg.She started at the sound of my voice.
她聽(tīng)到了我的聲音，驀地一驚。
careful 小心的‘謹(jǐn)慎的
adj. 小心的，仔細(xì)的（care關(guān)心；撫愛(ài)+ful有...的→adj.小心的，仔細(xì)的）
eg.Please listen carefully.
請(qǐng)仔細(xì)聽(tīng)。
eg.She put the glass down carefully.
她小心翼翼地放下玻璃杯。
eg.Drive carefully.
小心開(kāi)車。
smoke 吸煙
eg.The fireplace smokes badly.
這壁爐冒煙太多。
eg.Do you smoke?
你抽煙嗎？
eg.He never smokes.
他從不抽煙。
campfire 營(yíng)火；篝火
eg.You have to make a campfire.
你們必須生火。
eg.We lit a campfire during the night.
我們?cè)谕砩蠠艘粋€(gè)營(yíng)火。
eg.The campfire illuminated the dark sky.
營(yíng)火點(diǎn)亮了夜空。
match 火柴
match 作“火柴”解，既可作可數(shù)名詞，也可作不可數(shù)名詞?！耙桓鸩瘛笨烧f(shuō)a match,但“一盒火柴”要說(shuō)a box of matches.
eg.Don't strike a match if you smell gas.
如果聞到煤氣味，千萬(wàn)不要?jiǎng)澔鸩瘛?br>
eg.It's very dark here,will you light a match?
這里很暗，你點(diǎn)根火柴好嗎？
eg.He struck the match twice,but it couldn't burn.
他擦了兩次火柴，可是點(diǎn)不著。
eg.I want to but a box of matches.
我想買(mǎi)盒火柴。
Don't =do not 不要 (do not 的常用口語(yǔ)形式）

safety 安全 n.(名詞）
safety ”安全，平安“，指遠(yuǎn)離危險(xiǎn)的威脅而處于不受傷害的狀態(tài)。引申可指”平安地帶“。
safety 多用作不可數(shù)名詞，常用語(yǔ)in safety或with safety短語(yǔ)中。
eg.A bank assures safety for your money.
銀行保證你的存款安全。
eg.We're keeping you here for your own safety.
我們讓你呆在這里是為了你自身的安全。
eg.It's very useful to teach children about fire safety.
把用火安全常識(shí)教給孩子們是非常有用的。
